Update

Hi all, first of all sorry for the silence and a big thank you for all the support of the past 2 years. We are currently taking a break from Theatre Exchange (but you probably guessed that). We haven’t closed the doors completely though and are open to new opportunities in 2015. News of new ventures will be posted here and on our Facebook page.

Hope you’re all splendid!

The Best of Theatre Exchange

Part of Birmingham Fest 2014

Those of you who’ve been attending our events for a while now will remember that we were born at the Old Joint Stock in 2012.

Over the past 8 months we’ve been wandering the Midlands presenting showcase nights of extracts of new work, workshopped on the day by assembled teams of actors and directors.

This July we present three 30min staged readings of the best work from our recent visits to Birmingham Rep, Coventry’s Theatre Absolute and the Old Joint Stock itself. Come and see some of the most exciting new work around in an intimate space, and even talk to the writers and cast afterwards!

Our next event is at The Door, Birmingham Rep on Tuesday 29th April 2014. We’re looking for volunteer actors, writers and directors to spend a few hours rehearsing and sharing work during the evening (rehearsed reading style). We’d love for you to join us! More details can be found here:
